Grateful Pet Frequently Asked Questions

What is your delivery area?

We schedule local deliveries within Indianapolis greater-metro area (317 and 463 Area Codes) Monday through Friday.  We try to deliver according to the following schedule, but understand that emergencies happen therefore we try to accommodate delivery requests within the same week.

  • Monday: Downtown Indy/Inside 465
  • Tuesday: Northside
  • Wednesday: Westside
  • Thursday: Southside
  • Friday: Eastside

If you’re order is in stock, items will be delivered with 72 hours (excluded weekend).

Please email or call if you are not sure which delivery area you live in.  We are always happy to help!

What type of products do we deliver?

We carry high quality pet food, treats and supplies for dogs, cats, rabbits, other small animals and birds.

Do I need to be at home for the delivery?

There is no need to be at home when we arrive. We will leave the order wherever you want. Details will be discussed when we set up your account. Special arrangements involving specific delivery times or days can always be made.

Do you have a minimum order?

For customers on a regular delivery schedule with refill commitments, a minimum order is not required. For customers placing a single order, a minimum of $25.00 is preferred.

Do you have an order deadline?

One of our best offerings is the recurring delivery program that is set up according to the amount of food your animals typically eat. We do not have an order deadline for this program.

If you are not on a recurring schedule, we prefer that you place orders at least two days in advance of the delivery day for your area. However, we can always make special arrangements as needed to ensure your dogs are getting their food!

What is recurring delivery and how does it work?

With recurring delivery, your food is delivered automatically according to your personalized schedule. When your account is set up, we will help you estimate an expected delivery time. We will monitor your delivery intervals and typical food consumption. Then, within two to three deliveries, we will have a consistent idea of your needs and ensure your food bin never gets empty. We can also include cat liter with your auto-delivery service!

Do I have to sign a contract?

No! We believe in choice and don’t want to “trick” you into using our service. We truly believe that you will love our service and choose to stay with us for the long haul. But if for some reason decide to cancel, you’ll be billed for any outstanding order, but you won’t be billed again.

What kind of foods do you carry?

We carry a comprehensive line of premium quality foods, treats, accessories and supply items for dogs and cats. We carry over 60 manufacturers ranging from multi-national brands to smaller, single product brands. Our goal is to provide quality food that promotes health, happiness and harmony to your animal companions.

So, how do I get started?

Visit our shop to place an order online and we’ll get you started. You can also send an email to robert@gratefulpetindy.com with some basic information, including your name, address, contact information and food type. We will contact you to discuss pricing details, delivery dates and establish a tentative plan for recurring delivery. We are also available by phone at 317.670.0847.  From there, the heavy lifting is on us!
